San Francisco Queer Women of Color Film Festival Screening
What a wonderful night! The audience--primarily queer women of color--loved my film, and it was really heartening to get such a positive reaction from them. I appreciated all the people who came up to me afterwards and thanked me for talking about some of the sides of international adoption that you don't hear in the mainstream media.

A Swedish woman approached me who is on the selection committee of various film festivals in Sweden and told me that she loved my movie. A week later I got an email from Glimz (a Swedish distributor) asking me if they could distribute my film worldwide. I was amazed! I feel so grateful about the buzz around my film, and it's my first film that I completed in a free 16-week queer women of color media arts workshop!

I am always so moved when audience members tell me that my film touched them. That's what makes me happy. . .

I hope to see you at a screening soon. . .
